Tom Poster is a musician whose skills and passions extend well beyond the conventional role of the concert pianist. He has performed concertos with Aurora Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Hallé, Philharmonia, RPO and SCO, and made multiple appearances at the BBC Proms. His chamber music partners include Alison Balsom, Steven Isserlis, Guy Johnston and Elena Urioste, with whom he launched #UriPosteJukebox during the 2020 lockdown. Tom is pianist of the Aronowitz Ensemble (former BBC New Generation Artists) and founder and artistic director of Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective. He has recorded for BIS, Chandos, Decca, Orchid and Warner Classics, and is a featured soloist on many film soundtracks. He studied with Joan Havill at the GSMD, and at King’s College, Cambridge. He is also a successful composer and arranger, and a lifelong fan of animals with unusual noses.
