For the past 30 years Theresa has been a leading adviser on strategic philanthropy to families and non-profit organisations. She was the Founder Director of Philanthropy UK and is the author of A Guide to Giving (2003); Why Rich People Give (2004), Cultural Giving (2006) and Richer Lives (September 2013). Theresa has held several trusteeships, including Sadler’s Wells, CARE International UK, The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, The Young Vic, the Bath Preservation Trust, Bath University and Bath Spa University. She has also served on several development committees.

Theresa joined the Board of The Benedetti Foundation in 2020.
