Creative Learning: What is it, why is it important and who is it important for? Workshop Leader and Presenter, Lucy Drever, leads us in a session that explores the Creative Learning sector; the what, the how and the why. We'll look at various projects, aims and outcomes, as well as top tips on how to get into this area of work. We'll also talk about the necessary skills for this sector and the best way to go about developing them.

In this session, Workshop Leader and Presenter, Lucy Drever, will look at vocal health as a teacher, presenter and workshop leader, as well as how finding your voice can encourage others to find theirs. We'll look at public speaking, what effective communication can look like as a workshop leader, and why creating a safe space in the room is essential for every voice to be heard.

Join Clifton Harrison as we look at effective methods and practices for expanding your repertoire that reflects an inclusive 21st century world. This session is aimed at students and musicians who have newly joined the professional ranks, but anyone can benefit. Clifton will share his own approach and research whilst providing some resources for you to continue your own journey.

MUSICIANS’ WELLBEING: PRACTICAL TIPS FOR WARMING UP AND LOOKING AFTER YOUR BODY

Join Melissa White and Elena Urioste — violinists, yogis, and co-founders of Intermission, a program that unites body, mind, breath, and music-making through yoga and meditation — to breathe, move, chat, and play together! We'll explore the many ways in which music and yoga intersect, as well as ways to honour the musician as a whole. This session is open to musicians age 18+ of all levels of experience.
