Sarah Mills
Operations Officer
Sarah joined the Benedetti Foundation in August 2024 as Operations Officer, working closely with the Operations Manager in supporting all of the Foundation’s programmes behind the scenes.
Based in Scotland, Sarah has worked with several arts organisations, notably in her previous roles with Red Note Ensemble. Starting as an intern, Sarah worked closely on performance projects with the ensemble, organising events and coordinating centralised administrative systems. Progressing to General Manager, Sarah worked closely with the ensemble's management, board and freelancers, as well as across several aspects of the organisations in administration, operations, financial management and overall company management.
Sarah studied Music at the University of Glasgow, graduating in 2020 with classical voice as her principal study. Her passion for music education was also nurtured during her studies, focusing on Composition in the Classroom modules working with pupils in local secondary schools. In Sarah’s final year, her interest in arts administration and management was sparked during her Camp America experience, fulfilling the role of Head of Performing Arts at a children’s summer camp in West Virginia. From this, Sarah continued her study and completed a Masters in Arts, Festivals and Cultural Management at Queen Margaret University, graduating in 2021.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys pilates, travelling and attending musical theatre performances. She also sings with the Glasgow Madrigirls, an upper voice choir that performs a variety of repertoire, including classical, folk music and music composed by members of the choir.
