Rosie Linane

Rosie is a Guernsey born musician, who just completed her Undergraduate music degree at The University of York. She enjoys volunteering with a range of musical corporations including the York-based charity Music Education Group, learning and delivering exciting and memorable workshops for all ages.

Coming from an enriched exuberant cultural environment, Rosie is fueled by her desire to express and inspire through her musical talents. She has taken pride and privilege in enabling others to explore the concepts of this art form for themselves.

Rosie strongly believes music should be universal and enjoyed in an inspiring creative atmosphere. Rosie has found her studies at York, and the range of endeavours, to be eye-widening with ardent wonder for the many art forms and subjects, which incorporate into music and its history. She has taken part in various musical ensembles including; Opera North Youth Orchestra, the University’s Choirs, Jazz bands, Baroque and other experimental ensembles. She continues to expand and flourish her musicianship learnings throughout her ambitious academic studies and personal experiences.

Many wonderful pathways are present on Rosie’s current horizon, as she is eager to explore and engage with various riveting challenges and individuals. She is devoted to revealing the possibilities of music by enriching those around her and her zest.

Through the cohesion of her fascinations, she formulates valued moments of beauty in performance and teaching, enriching those experiencing her truest form whilst igniting a flame of their creative spirit. Accessibility and enjoyment within music education are significant to Rosie, and she is proud to embody a palpable presence in this field by being an Ambassador with The Benedetti Foundation.
