Kelvin Ng Violin
Kelvin Ng, a violinist from Hong Kong, has performed at prestigious venues around the world, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Wigmore Hall, and the Cadogan Hall. He has collaborated with renowned orchestras in Hong Kong and worked with esteemed conductors such as Edward Gardner, Jahja Ling, and Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider. Kelvin is also passionate about chamber music and participated in the Schiermonnikoog Festival with Marc Danel.
Currently based in London, Kelvin is pursuing his Master of Arts in Violin Performance at the Royal Academy of Music under the guidance of Nicholas Miller. He plays a 1780 Cuypers violin loaned from the Royal Academy of Music collection. During his time there, he has received coaching from acclaimed musicians such as Rachael Podger and attended masterclasses with violinists Rodney Friend and Pavel Vernikov. Prior to studying in the U.K, he graduated with first-class honours from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in music and minoring in psychology. He is also set to commence his Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music in the coming fall.
This year, Kelvin is proud to be an Instrumental Ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation and is eager to both learn from and contribute to the wonderful work of the Foundation.
