Katie Mazur Violin
Katie is a versatile young British violinist, who has just completed her Masters of Performance at the Royal College of Music. She has many strings to her bow, being equally passionate about her busy schedule with her rising quartet, the Morassi Quartet, performing in some of the country’s most established young professionals orchestras, and also her growing solo career. The Morassi Quartet have recently made their recital debut in the Elgar Room, Royal Albert Hall, and have been invited to play in festivals as far-reaching as Bydgoszcz, Poland. Katie has partaken in masterclasses with esteemed musicians such as Alina Ibragimova, Nicola Benedetti and the Brodsky Quartet, and has played for renowned conductors such as Sir Antonio Pappano, Vasily Petrenko and Sakari Oramo. She has just been awarded a place in the prestigious Southbank Sinfonia, and has also played in the Orion Orchestra and Sinfonia Perdita. She is passionate about performing across a variety of genres, ranging from jazz to Bollywood, and outside of music she loves yoga and being in the sunshine!
