Jane Sullivan Oboe

Irish Oboist Jane Sullivan is a multiple solo prize winner and orchestral musician, she is currently studying for her bachelor's at the Royal College of Music London under the tutelage of professors Olivier Stankiewicz,  Juliana Koch and Nick Deutsch, and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Professor Jacques Tys where she studied on exchange.

Jane enjoys a varied performance career as a soloist and orchestral player. In February 2024 she gave her debut recital at Wigmore Hall as part of The Irish Heritage Music Bursaries. As an orchestral musician, Jane has had the pleasure to work with many well established orchestras including Camerata Ireland, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and the Philharmonia Orchestra London as part of the RCM sit-in scheme. She has performed in many concert venues throughout the UK, Europe and America to include, The Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall and National Concert Hall Dublin. Jane has received masterclasses from oboist David Walter, Philippe Tondre and Kai Frombgen.

Jane thoroughly enjoys being an Ambassador for The Benedetti Foundation, where they provide workshops for string players throughout the UK and worldwide. She also works closely with the Royal College of Music Sparks team, and is involved in their workshops and Mini Sparks Programme.

Jane is extremely fortunate to be a Big Give scholar, she is also kindly supported by the St Marylebone Educational Foundation, the ABRSM Queens Platinum Jubilee Award, and the Royal Philharmonic Society.

Jane plays on a Marigaux 901 Oboe.
