INTRODUCTORY STRING PLAYERS

Introductory Orchestra - Saturday 12 July 2025

Welcome to the Benedetti Sessions - we are delighted you are interested in joining us!

The Introductory Orchestra is for young people, aged 6-11, who have just begun playing their instruments, up to around Grade 1 level. Young people must have turned 6 by 11 July 2025.

The Introductory Orchestra will take place on Saturday 12 July.

Watch this short video from Tutor, Stewart Wilson, to find out more about what we do in the Introductory Orchestra, and whether this is the right group for you!

In the Introductory Orchestra, we work on one piece of music which you will receive in advance, along with a tutorial video to help you prepare.

You will also be asked to take part in a creative activity in advance to encourage you to think about the story of the music before you come to meet us.

The day ends with a short sharing session to which family will be able to attend (limited seating).

Video Link: When you sign up, please add the link to a short video of your playing. This is not for assessment or audition, but helps us to support your young musicians during the weekend. If you can’t add a video link when signing up, you will be able to access a Google form to attach the link after you have completed your registration (please see your confirmation email for further instructions). Click here for guidance on uploading your video.
