INTERMEDIATE ORCHESTRA

Intermediate Orchestra - Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October

Welcome to the Benedetti Sessions - we’re delighted you’re interested in joining us. The Intermediate Orchestra is for players working around Grade 4-6 level. You will join us on both Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October.

Watch this short video from Tutor, Rachel Cooper, to find out more about what we do in the Intermediate Orchestra, and whether this is the right group for you.

During these sessions, the Intermediate Orchestra will work on two pieces; one which has been arranged specially for you and one mass piece, bringing together the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Orchestras.

On the weekend, we explore expression, storytelling, sound production, freedom in playing, the context of the music and improvisation, as well as delving into specific technical challenges.

Both days will end with a short sharing session to which families are invited to join (limited capacity). The sharing sessions will be recorded and shared with all participants.

Video Link: When you sign up, please add a link to a short video of your playing. This is not for assessment or audition, but helps us to support your young musicians during the weekend. This can be emailed to us after you have completed the registration form and you will be given the deadline to submit this (please see your confirmation email for further details).
