Bosco To Violin
Born in Hong Kong and moved to Scotland at the age of 14, Bosco To is currently in his third year of studying BMus violin at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under Guido De Groote. With funding provided by Transition, Bosco joined the Junior Conservatoire in 2017, studying with Bernard Dochrety. He was the co leader of Glasgow Schools’ Symphony Orchestra in 2019.Bosco is a passionate ensemble and solo musician with an interest in early 20th century music. He achieved both Diploma ABRSM on Violin and Grade 8 on Piano in 2020. He is frequently competing in competitions. In 2023, he secured 1st place at the Edinburgh Competition Festival for Chamber Music and reached the finals of the Governors Recital Prize for Strings in 2024.Committed to music education and eager to deepen his understanding, Bosco joined the Benedetti Foundation Ambassador Programme in 2024, he has also completed the ABRSM Teaching Diploma. Bosco is devoted to developing creative teaching ideas to help children understand the complexities of different techniques and meet individual specific needs
