Amy is young, creative violinist at the beginning of her career. She made her solo violin debut aged 18 performing Bach’s Oboe and Violin Concerto with Wolverhampton Youth Orchestra, having been awarded Wolverhampton Young Musician of the Year. During her time at RWCMD she has enjoyed furthering her special interests in historically informed performance, playing with Brecon Baroque Festival Orchestra and RWC Baroque Ensemble, and attending the Marnaves Summer Baroque course. Through these experiences she has worked with leading historical performance practitioners including Rachel Podger, Simon Jones and Margaret Faultless. She wrote her dissertation on the baroque violin, with a focus on the social reasons for changing luthiery practices in later eras. Mostrecently, she was a soloist in a period performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

Beyond the baroque era, Amy sustains an eclectic range of playing commitments encompassing musical theatre, folk music, symphonic orchestral, opera and chamber music. She hasbeen the leader of the LMTO Sitz sessions for Shrek and Oklahoma, co-principle for the Royal Welsh production of Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmelites and recently arranged her own concert of folk-baroque fusion inspired by the work of Barokksolistene. Her versatility as a performer extends to appearing in theatrical productions as an actor-musician. Alongside her playing commitments, Amy is a committed teacher and aims to inspire creativity in her students. She is proud to be a Creative Learning Ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation. She is also a singer, oboist, and plays the viola da gamba. She aspires to sustain and develop this diversity in her continuing musical career.
