AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME
AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME UPDATE
In response to feedback, we are aligning the Ambassador Programme to the academic year from September 2026. This means there will be a brief pause from January - September 2026. We are going to take advantage of this time to reflect, review, and realign the programme. We want to emphasise that this is a pause for improvement and re-alignment, not a conclusion. The goal is to return with a refreshed, more impactful programme that serves both our Ambassadors and the Foundation’s wider mission even more effectively.
The Benedetti Foundation Ambassador Programme is a training scheme for students (19+) dedicated to developing their practical, instrumental teaching and workshop leading skills, as well as growing their love for performance and gaining a greater insight into all areas of our music and education communitiesAmbassadors take part in regular personal and professional development sessions and participate in four focused projects encompassing topics including lesson planning, online content creation, workshop delivery and developing performance skills. They also have the opportunity to take part in teacher training sessions and wherever possible, attend the Foundation’s in-person or online activities to put their learning into practice.
All Ambassadors join a small mentor group, led by a Tutor Mentor, which provides the opportunity to work together to prepare and practice teaching activities, expand their knowledge and understanding of instruments other than their own, explore the use of social media in music education and performance, discuss, debate and reflect on questions surrounding music education and their role as advocates, and form a close, supportive network with their fellow Ambassadors.
There are two branches of the Ambassador Training Programme: Instrumental Ambassadors and Creative Learning Ambassadors. These run concurrently and divide into the specialisms at various points throughout the year.
This is a fully funded training programme and there is no cost to apply or to join the Ambassador Programme. Ambassadors will receive all expenses for attending training days and bursaries for taking part in in-person or virtual activity.
Nearly 500 Ambassadors have been a part of the programme since 2020 and students can apply to join the programme annually, throughout November.
"The Benedetti Foundation has enabled me to grow as an educator, musician and person...it will have a lasting influence on my life and future musical endeavours." - Ambassador 2020-22
